Introducing our Safeguarding Team

If you are a current student and you have a concern about something that has happened, you can share that concern by emailing iamnotok@rodingvalley.net
‘There is a robust culture of safeguarding. Staff are well trained in keeping pupils safe. safeguarding is an ever-present part of training”.
As a result, staff are vigilant in spotting and logging concerns. Leaders know the local risks and address these well. Safeguarding records show that leaders take appropriate actions to support vulnerable pupils’ – Ofsted September 2022
‘Leaders teach pupils to stay safe. Pupils learn a lot about online safety. Well-planned pastoral support helps them feel safe. Pupils know who to talk to if they have concerns’ – Ofsted September 2022
‘Pupils stay safe and leaders resolve any occasional issues of bullying. They say leaders do not tolerate any harassment or discrimination’ – Ofsted September 2022
Roding Valley High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and requires all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. We recognise that all adults, including Governors, temporary staff and volunteers, have a full and active part to play in protecting our students from harm and that the child or young person’s welfare is our paramount concern.
“Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. ‘Children’ includes everyone under the age of 18. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play.”
(Keeping Children Safe in Education, DfE September 2024)
